Military Waiver Program: Veteran, Reservist & Active Duty

What is the Military Waiver Program?
The Military Waiver Program waives the Partner Business Service Fee (BSF) for military veterans, reservists, or active duty service members. Qualifying Partners also get a reimbursement of the Digital Business Partner Tools. As long as a Partner meets the requirements and BODi continues the program, the waiver remains in effect indefinitely. To see if you qualify, view the requirements below.  
 
Who can apply for the Military Waiver Program?
1.  Active duty military service members of any branch of the United States military, or the spouse or partner of any active duty military service member.
2. Reservists from any branch of the United States military (Including National Guard), or the spouse or partner of any reservist military service member.
3. United States military service members wounded in action. 
4. Honorably discharged veterans of the United States military, or the spouse or partner of any honorably discharged veterans of the United States military service member.
5. Spouse or partner of a United States military service member lost or killed in action
 

MILITARY WAIVER APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS ▼

To request the Military Waiver, enroll as a Partner online and purchase the Digital Business Partner Tools (unless already enrolled), then follow the instructions below according to service type. Waivers will take 24 hours to process. See Approved Documents below for a list of acceptable proof of military service.

*If you are seeking the military waiver for your own Partner account and are using your spouse’s military documents to qualify for this waiver, our service team may ask for additional paperwork from you in order to validate your relationship to the military service member named on the documents submitted.  As often a spouse or partner’s last name may not be consistent with the other individual, we may ask you for additional validation of your relationship including a copy of one of the following documents of your choice:
  •    Marriage / Partnership Certificate
  •    Utility Bill 
  •    Rental Agreement (naming both parties)

REQUIREMENTS TO MAINTAIN THE MILITARY WAIVER ▼

Once approved, a Partner must maintain at least 50 PV every 90 days to keep receiving the Military Waiver.
 
Partners will receive an email notification when their account is considered noncompliant.
 
Noncompliant Partners will be canceled 10 days after the notice is sent unless the PV requirement is met.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ▼

Can a service member overseas enroll as a Partner without an APO address?
No. Only Partners with a valid US address can enroll as a Partner.
 
Can military personnel from countries other than the U.S. qualify?
No. The Military Waiver only applies to the United States military.
 
Is there a waiver for law enforcement?
No. The program only applies to military personnel.

Can the Digital Partner Starter Tools be waived at enrollment?
No. Online enrollment and the Digital Partner Starter Tools fee are required prior to submitting the application.
 
What if the application is submitted more than 31 days after enrollment?
Future Business Starter Fees will be waived. Prior Business Starter Fees and the Digital Partner Starter Tools will not be refunded.
 
How long does it take to get the Digital Partner Starter Tools reimbursed?
Complete, legible, and error-free applications are completed in 3 business days.
 
Does the waiver apply to multiple BCs?
Yes. The  BSF will be waived for any existing or secondary BCs.
 
Does the veteran or reservist waiver apply to spouses?
Yes, Spouses of veterans, reservist or active duty service members can have the waiver applied to their account. 
 
Can the active military waiver be applied to a Partner and a spouse/household member?
No. The active duty military waiver can only be claimed by one active duty service member within the same household.  If both Partners are active duty service members, one is eligible to receive the waiver, while the other Partner will be required to pay the monthly business service fee. The same guidelines apply for veteran and reservist members.
 
Under what circumstance would more than one individual within the household be eligible to receive the military waiver?
If one individual is an active duty service member and the other individual is a military veteran, both would be eligible to receive the military waiver on their respective Partner accounts.
 
Can customer or preferred customer return orders affect my PV?
Yes. Partners receive commissions based on the sale of products and services and when a product is returned, the associated volume and commissions are recovered from the Partner.
 
What happens if a Partner does not meet the requirement of 50PV every 90 days?
The account will be subject to permanent cancellation.
 
Will a Military Fee Waiver Apply if a Partner Reclassifies their Account to Preferred Customer?
No, Military fee waivers are only applicable to Partner accounts. If a Partner reclassifies to a Preferred Customer, their fee waiver will be removed and they will be responsible for the monthly Preferred Customer Membership fee.
